The Final countdown...

The '63 get's picked up tomorrow...and heads off to Longview, TX for paint. We re-installed the hood.

The gaps/hood fitment is really pretty darn perfect!

Nothing like the 'cookie trays' on a '63 hood.

We picked up the rear carrier.  All new seals & fully rebuilt and sandblasted.

The bolts are all nice originals.  We shot them with some flat black to give that original bolt look.

After drying, we taped them up before spraying the carrier in cast blast.

Wow - looking amazing.  We'll flip it over and do a couple more coats on Saturday.

Looking down in the fuel filler hole...you can see a number ("412" or "472") written on the fiberglass

We went completely over the car and made a list of items for Tom (painter).  Here you can see the base of the windshield molding just has never fit quite right.

And we'll want him to give some attention to the blackout up near the core support

We'll replace the A-Arm flaps

We'll want to keep the original hood alignment wedges

Refinish the hood pins

And we're going to go with new bolts/screws...replacing the old rusty and incorrect ones.

"Dean" is ready for pickup...
