Electrical wiring, firewall insulation, heater box, heater core...

Best way to install the under dash harness to the gauge cluster, is inside your home.  Not, laying upside down under the steering column!  We're testing light bulbs here!

Here's where we ended up at the end of day Monday (President's Day)

We pre-tested all 31 light-bulbs, before installing them into the under-dash wiring harness. And YES, we found a few that were bad.

Vince's original Ammeter Capacitor.  It's bad, but original!  Gotta get a replacement.

AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) info was super helpful!

Tom had installed the fuse box under the dash.  We had to remove it, in order to get the wiring harness out.

Door closure switch

Speaker connector

Heater control knob removal tool.

The Firewall insulation does not come with the cut-out for the clutch.  I guess they assume you have a Powerglide.

Circle cut for Clutch rod.

Clutch rod boot will need replacing (torn).

Clutch rod had been installed upside down.  We knew this, because it was rubbing on the firewall fiberglass.  We removed it, re-shot it with paint, and re-installed it. (correctly).

We installed all the rubber firewall fasteners. They're always a pain in the A** !

But they came out nice.

Firewall insulation installed.

Passenger vent cable and bracket (removed and repainted).

Passenger vent removed, cleaned, reinstalled.

Heater box reinstalled with the reinforced heater core.

Blower motor and heater cover installed.

Splash shields (new vs. old).  Still need to fasten the rubber with staples.
